Download
PynqEarn for Windows.
The client measures the connection it runs on, stores every reading locally, and sends nothing until you turn contribution on. It is not open for download yet: the measurement service it needs is not live, so the client would install and then fail on its first run.
What it does
Six signals, on a schedule you set.
-
ms
Latency
Round-trip time to a regional reference endpoint, measured as a distribution rather than a single ping.
-
%
Packet loss
Share of probe packets that never arrived, counted over a fixed number of probes so the denominator is known.
-
ms
Jitter
Variation between consecutive round trips. The number that decides whether a call or a game holds together.
-
Mbps
Throughput
Sustained rate over a short bounded transfer, capped so a run never costs a meaningful amount of data.
-
ms
DNS
Time to resolve a cold name through whichever resolver the connection is actually using.
-
%
Stability
Share of the measurement window the connection stayed usable, which a single speed test cannot see.
What it is
A measuring instrument, not a background miner.
The build
- Platform
- Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit
- Size
- About 90 MB installed
- Install
- Per user. No administrator rights needed.
- Runs
- Only when you ask, until you turn the schedule on
- Uses
- Single-digit megabytes a run, with a budget you set
- Storage
- A local database in your own app data folder
Sample dataThe installer is not code signed, so Windows SmartScreen will warn the first time you run it. Signing needs a certificate that does not exist yet.
Before you install
Three things worth knowing.
-
01
Nothing is uploaded by default
Contribution is off when you install. Turning it on records the date of consent, and turning it off clears it.
-
02
Your traffic is never read
A run measures the path, not the payload. No browsing history, no destinations, no content, no location.
-
03
There are no rewards yet
No rate is set, no balance exists and nothing has been paid. The client shows what you have contributed and nothing about money.
Measure your own internet
The network is not live yet. This is where it starts.
